When I was pastoring a church in Virgina, I met a lot of folks that needed help. Knowing the power of God, I worked to share the gospel with as many as I could.
I had one couple come to church and they really seem to get in. Always smiling. Not really excited for God, but seemingly happy. Until I got a phone call.
The woman said, "Pastor Tucker, I need to tell you something!" "Fred, doesn't want me to tell you, but we are not married. In fact, he didn't want me to call you. I want to serve God. I want to really be a Christian, but he doesn't."
Her boyfriend had said, the people in the church don't love you. You are fat and ugly and you just need to stay with me.
But she told me on the phone, "I heard what you preached. I want to serve God."
I told her to put God first. Serve the Lord and do what God wanted her to do, not what her boyfriend said. He was trying to manipulate her by saying she was fat and ugly and no one would want to be with her.
That is a lie the devil tells so many people to keep them in bondage.
You are this and you are that and no one would love you.
Not the church. Not God. You might as well stay in your situation.
Don't let the world define you. You don't need to stay in your agony and in your fears. You can experience deliverance and spiritual growth.
👉Believe in God.
👉According to your faith so be it. Believe and accept the love of Jesus.
👉The love of Jesus can take you all the way up the mountain top. There is no stopping a Child of the King.
If you believe you have not been living to your full potential, let's pray.
If you have been told that no one loves you and should just shut up and stay where you are, that is a lie. God can set you free.
Let's pray. Come to church this Sunday and let's go to the altar. Experience what God can do in your life.
